Children and Family Programs
Alexandra Neighbourhood House provides many different programs for children and families, some on an ongoing basis, and others as one-time offerings. Alex House also provides one-to-one services for families seeking additional support and resources related to parenting.
Neighbourhood Fun Night: We've bid farewell to another successful summer of Neighbourhood Fun Nights! In fact, 2018 was our most popular season ever, as we welcomed on average one hundred people for each event!

Alexandra Neighbourhood House provides one-to-one services for families seeking support and resources. Staff assist parents and caregivers in developing knowledge, skills, community connections to support them in their journey as parents. L'Atelier d"Alexandra is a space to discover, explore and engage. Alexandra Family Place Drop-In is hosted in L'Atelier Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am to noon from September 19 to December 7 with creative activities that are geared towards children 12 months and up. Siblings are welcome - and dress for mess! Please join us.

Imagination - Inspiration - Expression
Explore With Me
This interactive program for parents and children 15 months to five years introduces the Reggio Emilia approach to learning and inspires children's natural curiosity to learn about the world around them. Enjoy hands-on, interactive experiences and a song and story time each week. Each family will have the opportunity to create a book of songs and ideas to take home. All of our groups run 2-3 times a year and we keep on-going interest lists. There is a small fee for some of our parent education groups. If you need help or have any questions please talk to us. No one is turned away for inability to pay.
The Parent Child Mother Goose program is a group experience for parents and their young children that focuses on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs and stories together, nurturing the bond that is growing between the parent and child. Do you need care for your children outside of school hours? We can help! Alex House runs School Age care programs in Crescent Beach and at Kensington Prairie Community Centre ages 5 to 12. Call 604-592-2607 for information and registration.
